Quicktime compression notes

Apple’s latest newsletter has a big batch of tech note entries on compression with QuickTime:
- When performing multipass encoding how are the compression pass mode flags used with ICMCompressionSessionBeginPass?
- Is there an easier way to configure Compression Session options or does each option have to be set by hand?
- When configuring a Compression Session how do you enable multi-pass encoding?
- The Compression Session API has a single quality property, but if temporal compression is enabled, how can the client influence the quality of key frames?
- When transitioning to Decompression Sessions how are codec accuracy and options such as deinterlacing set?
