Forgent Announces Another Patent License Agreement

Days after the USPTO’s patent reexamination request, Forgent announced that it has concluded a Patent License Agreement with Orion Electric Co., Ltd. covering Forgent’s data compression technology embodied in U.S. Patent No. 4,698,672 (the ‘672 Patent).

Orion is involved in the planning, development, design, production, and sales of audiovisual and information technology products.

Other terms of the Agreement were not disclosed.

    Forgent announced it has concluded another Patent License Agreement with Riverdeep, Inc. covering Forgent’s ‘672 Patent. Riverdeep is a fast growing education and consumer software company in the United States. Other terms of the Agreement were not disclosed.
