Philips joining the game?

According to this article somewhat dodgy Inquirer, Philips may be going after companies based on a JPEG patent it holds. Details are scarce, but it’s got to be somewhat of a bummer for a company just beat up by Forgent to suddenly see Philips at the door, hat in hand.
