    David Scott has written a bijective BWT transform, which brings all the advantages of bijectiveness to BWT based compressors. Among other things, making BWT more suitable for compression-before-encryption and also give (slightly) better compression.

MPEG-4 gaining, but MPEG-2 still strong, says In-Stat

Even though there is too much buzz around MPEG-4, EE Times has a news article on why MPEG-2 might still continue to grow till 2009.
