www.c10n.info : The Data Compression News Blog
Posted by Sachin Garg on 19th June 2005 | Permanent Link
Me and Mark have started a data compression news blog at http://www.c10n.info
Intention is similar to the news feed which Mark once started at datacompression.info, ie to provide a comprehensive coverage of any new happening related to data compression. We plan to cover both commercial and research news.
The name c10n.info is a compressed version of “CompressionNews”, which unfortunately cannot be decompressed, so some might want to label this “compression” as a non-reversible transform or just a drastically mangled version of original, but I still feel that it has something to do with compression ;-) (Thanks to Mark for suggesting this name)
If you wish to become a regular contributor/moderator, please feel free to contact us. We really need help.
Moreover, anyone can submit a news item (after registration), which will be published after a review by moderators. (This is really important as it is nearly impossible for a few volunteers to keep track of everything) (registration is not needed for posting comments)
Suggestions are ofcourse welcomed.
