ComCam, Inc. announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Matsema PTY of South Africa and immediate release of version 1.54 of NXPowerLite from Neuxpower Solutions of the UK.
NXPowerLite radically reduces the size of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations by as much as 90%.
According to ComCam CEO Don Gilbreath, “We have been using this product internally and are no longer constrained by file sizes; now we can give our creativity free reign. Our presentations were getting too large and being rejected by many email servers. Adobe PDF(TM) and WinZip(TM) just didn’t do the job. NXPowerLite was so impressive we thought we would promote this to our friends and channel partners as they are experiencing some of the same issues with PowerPoint files that we are. We typically see 8-10M files reduced to about 1M with no loss in quality. We absolutely needed this for our business, and so do you if you use PowerPoint.”
NXPowerLite is a small, stand-alone program compatible with all recent versions of Microsoft Windows and PowerPoint. It’s fully customizable, and you can choose the perfect balance between quality and compression.
A complimentary trial version is available for immediate download at ComCam’s website.

This program appears to only call the JPEG compression and image resizing/cropping functions already available within PowerPoint. That it exists is less a positive statement about the creators of NXPowerLite than it is a negative statement about Microsoft’s ability to produce a product that’s easy to use.
